Traces Of Memory
Memory is the human brain's retention of past events; it is objectively existent, yet its expression is subjective.
“Traces of Memory” visualizes the fragile remains of recollection through layered design, moving image, and digital mediation—revealing how memory persists not in clarity, but in distortion.
“Traces of Memory” explores how personal and collective memories manifest as visual residues—marks, textures, and fragments that remain after the moment has passed.
The project seeks to visualize the tension between presence and absence, showing how memories persist not as complete images but as layered traces across physical, digital, and emotional spaces.
Through the language of graphic design, the project will experiment with three to four different design approaches—typography, collage, photographic layering, and motion graphics—to evoke how memory is recorded, fragmented, and reinterpreted.
These static and animated visual compositions will be integrated into a documentary-style video that combines filmed footage, screen recordings, and dynamic imagery.
